Here at Treasure Hunters we believe Bible Study is the greatest adventure known to mankind. In fact, through the study of God’s Word you will journey right into the heart of God and his love for you. Nothing is more critical to our daily walk with the Lord than reading and studying His word. It is for our benefit and blessing that we learn not just to read God’s love letter, but that we learn to study it, to search it, to examine it.
Why? Because God’s Word teaches us who God is, it tells us how God feels about us, and his Word shows us how he wants us to live. Knowing God’s Word brings us comfort, encouragement and protection. In these difficult times in which we live knowing Scripture is a must because if we dont know our Bibles then we can be led astray. Acts 17:11 says:
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
What did the Bereans do? They received the Word with great eagerness, and then checked to make sure that what Paul taught was the truth. Friends, I love to be taught Gods word, but I have a responsibility to know if the teaching is in line with what Scripture says. In a world of half truths, we must be like the Bereans searching the scriptures to see if what we are taught agrees with what the Bible says.
